C64 basic game

made a game for the Commodore 64, it is programmed in BASIC.
in the video it does say "syntax error in 19744" however this was a problem with saving the game on a tape, line 19744 doesn't exist.
in the main game your a spaceship that need to destroy stars (shown on-screen using *),
hitting a star destroys your ship, so don't do that.
however, once you destroy a star it blows up (shown on-screen using Q) these are still dangerous so these you need to avoid as well.
a little bit on how the game works.
the game has 5 speed levels, every level has 50 (+ 10 based on the speed, so by speed level 3 its 70 layers) layers of stars.
after all the layers it goes faster by 1 until it's the same speed as your ship.
after that, it will go to a score screen, every star you shot gives you points.
round 2 starts with 2 stars per layer, it is mostly the same thing as before.
by round 3 it has 3 stars per layer, this increases until you hit something (eventually it becomes impossible)
the game took me 2 days to make, most of the time was spend relearning the language.
it is all writhen on a Commodore 64 C I got not too long ago.
the screen is currently black and white but I have cables on the way to fix that (unless you want to use RF witch I don't)
to me this was a fun side project for in my free time and maybe I'll learn assembly next for more fast paste games.
